We are hiring ALL SHIFTS
Must be CERTIFIED in Connecticut.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing and perform basic laboratory procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with wound care and dressing changes
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health record systems
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
- Valid certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of practice
- Experience working with behavioral health patients or children is preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques is a plus
- Ability to work with patients who have special needs or disabilities
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME)
- Basic knowledge of gastric lavage and airway management procedures
