Looking to take the next step in your Phlebotomy career? Our healthcare client in New Milford, CT is hiring a Senior Phlebotomist (Float) to oversee blood collection and specimen processing across multiple locations, ensuring top patient care, accuracy, and safety.
Compensation: $20 - $22/hour
Location: New Milford, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)
Responsibilities as the Senior Phlebotomist (Float):
- Blood Collection: Perform precise blood draws and manage specimen preparation for lab analysis, adhering to established protocols.
- Patient Care: Deliver compassionate, professional care to build patient trust and ensure comfort during procedures.
- Multi-Location Support: Provide phlebotomy services across multiple sites, ensuring consistent quality and compliance with procedures.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support junior phlebotomists, guiding their training, development, and daily performance.
- Operational Collaboration: Work with departments to optimize specimen processing and address any operational challenges.
Qualifications for the Senior Phlebotomist (Float):
- Education: Completion of a recognized Phlebotomy course and certification required.
- Experience: 5 years of Phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (3 years in PSC/IOP preferred).
- Customer Service: Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent patient care and satisfaction.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in keyboarding and data entry.
- Location: Must reside within a 20-25 minute commute for flexible coverage.
